HASADO SYUHEI
PLASTERER

Hasado Syuhei is a plasterer who also paints and writes. Plastering refers to the work of craftsmen who use a trowel to plaster and finish the walls of buildings, but Hasado also uses his skills to create two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and installation works that are highly regarded in the art world. The colors of the clay, which he collects and mixes himself, and their exquisite combinations provide a sense of tranquility, but the dynamic forms created by Hasado give them new life.

DAICHI Theme: Phoenix

01 = "Layers of Time"
Time, which seems to be uniform, fluctuates between fast and slow, intense and calm. These "layers created by human time" represent the patterns of each person's life.
02= "Phoenix Feathers"
Hasado once said, "When I heard the sound of this auspicious bird taking flight, I turned my head and saw its wings faintly fluttering.” This work expresses the artist’s eternal longing for this vision.
